As per the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, “April 2024 recorded a decrease from an inflation rate of 5.7 per cent recorded in March 2024. Transport Index increased by 9.2 per cent in the last 12 months (April 2023 - April 2024). Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels Index increased by 3.8 per cent in the last 12 months. Food and Non- Alcoholic Beverages Index increased by 5.6 per cent in the last 12 months”
